Breakwater Beach Waterpark to host 11th Annual Crab Race

NEW JERSEY, USA : Artificial plastic crabs will be released from Patriot’s Plunge into the Revolutionary River at Breakwater Beach Waterpark in a race to benefit Juvenile Diabetes (JDRF) and the Food Allergy Research Education (FARE) on Saturday, August 27th , 2016.Breakwater Beach Waterpark

To participate in the Crab Race, guests can purchase a $5 plastic crab from Breakwater Beach Waterpark Ticket Booths. All the money raised from the crab sales benefit JDRF and FARE. Each donation entitles the participant to free twilight admission for the day of the race (if purchased more than a week prior to the race) and a chance to win over 100 great prizes!

At 5:00PM, the crabs are released into the Revolutionary River. The winning crab gets $100 and 10 All-Day Passes to Breakwater Beach for the 2017 season. Other prizes include Broadway tickets, Playstation Vita, restaurant gift certificates, amusement park passes & much more!

People who have already purchased a crab a week prior to the race will be admitted into the park after 3pm with FREE twilight admission on the 27th so they can be present and cheer their crabs on! You can still make the donation for the crab entry and do not need to be present at the event to win. You can purchase your crab at Breakwater Beach Waterpark. All proceeds from the event go directly to JDRF and FARE in hopes of finding a cure for these diseases.
