Safety is our top priority.  During our shutdown, our staff has been working extremely hard by enhancing our cleaning and disinfecting protocols to keep our guests and team members safe.

Our reopening will come with new health, safety and hygiene procedures that we are requiring our guests and team members to follow.  In order to enjoy our property together, we ask everyone to follow the CDC guidelines, the recommendations of health officials and Casino Pier & Breakwater Beach's policies.

Important Information for Your Visit

In accordance with CDC guidelines and what we have been seeing, we have enhanced sanitation and disinfecting procedures and implemented additional measures for distance spacing and screening.

Therefore our team members will be adhering to the following, and we are asking that all guests do as well:

Face covering

  • Face coverings are REQUIRED for admission.
  • At Breakwater Beach Waterpark, guests will be required to wear a mask for entry. Once participating in the attractions face coverings may be removed. Face coverings are to be worn when walking throughout the park and when six feet of separation cannot be achieved.
  • At Casino Pier Ride Park, face coverings must be worn when entering the park and walking around the Ride Pier. We will have sections on the Pier that you may be able to remove your face mask if you are able to be at least six feet away from others not in your group.
  • In Casino Arcade & Indoor Restrooms: Face coverings are ALWAYS required.
  • All Casino Pier Team Members will be wearing face coverings while performing duties based on the job description.  For instance, certain locations such as lifeguards in wet environments may not always be able to wear face coverings.
  • Face coverings are for the protection of our team members and guests.
  • Neck Gaiters or Facial Coverings that cover the neck are not allowed on any ride due to the choking hazard.
  • We are asking that if they are unable to wear a face-covering that you visit during a later time when we are able to relax this standard.

Temperature check

  • All Casino Pier Team Members have their temperature checked prior to each work shift.  A Team Member with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be sent home.
  • At the current time, we will not be performing temperature checks on guests on other parts of our property.  This is still to be determined by State of NJ regulations. We will update this as it becomes available.

Wash hands often

Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.

Social distancing

  • Practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between your travel party and others.
  • Please stand on the Social Distancing floor markings that are laid out across the property. Please do not get too close to others not in your party.

Floor markings

  • When present, please stand on the floor markings until the group in front of you moves forward.
  • We need your partnership in keeping guests and team-members safe! Please practice social distancing on our properties. Look for the green floor markings and do not advance in line until the one in front is clear

Avoid contact with people who are sick

Use hand sanitizer when required

  • At select locations including prior to boarding ride vehicles, guests will be required to use hand sanitizer.
  • Hand sanitizer locations will be located throughout the property.
  • We encourage guests to use hand sanitizer frequently and prior to participating in any ride, slide, attraction, playing any game, using any equipment, or walking around the properties where common touch areas are present.

Follow Team Member direction

  • Please follow directions from our team members and have patience as we work through these new operational procedures.

Longer wait times and limited attractions

    • Per the State of NJ, capacity will be limited to 50% on the Ride Pier and at Breakwater Beach and 25% capacity at Casino Arcade. In order to control capacity there will be entrance and exit points in place prior to entering the pier and water park.

    • Due to a number of factors, some rides and attractions may remain closed for the 2020 season. Others may be open and closed on a rotating basis throughout the summer.  Please click Here for the status on attractions.
    • Our staff is excited to welcome you back to our pier and water parks. We are committed to doing our best to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Please note the CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit.

What are we asking you to do?

We need your partnership in keeping guests and team-members safe! Please practice social distancing on our properties. Look for the green floor markings and do not advance in line until the one in front is clear.

Please pre-order your admission passes for Breakwater Beach and the Ride Pier HERE.  Please purchase SURF Cards on our website here.
We are not taking reservations. We have implemented online purchases to limit the in-person transactions and the length of the waiting line as a safety and convenience factor.
Due to capacity restrictions, purchasing your admission online does not necessarily guarantee a spot in the park that day. However, your admission passes can be used for any day we are open.

  • If you or any member of your party is not feeling well, please do not visit us. Plan to come when everyone is well.
  • Currently, government health organizations are recommending people 65 years and older, those who live in a nursing home or long-term care facility , and people with underlying medical conditions should keep their distance from others and stay home. We ask that you do not visit our property at this time.
  • Please practice proper hygiene.
  • Wash your hands frequently while you are visiting our property.  Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds throughout your visit. Use hand sanitizer as an alternative.
  • When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue. Throw the tissue into a trash can after use and wash hands.
  • Please follow social distancing guidelines carefully, maintaining 6 feet of space from others. Immediate family members and others who live in the same household can be closer together. All others should strictly adhere to the social distancing guidelines. This will apply through the property including on rides, in queue lines, arcade, games, food stands and restrooms.
  • Please be patient and understanding with these necessary operational changes. To facilitate adherence to social distancing guidelines, attractions may reduce capacity or close certain attractions.

Breakwater Beach Waterpark Guest Information

  • At Breakwater Beach Waterpark, guests will be required to wear a mask for entry. Once participating in the attractions face coverings may be removed. Face coverings are to be worn when walking throughout the park and when six feet of separation cannot be achieved.
  • We are recommending guests to purchase their waterpark admission on our website prior to visiting. This will limit the amount of transactions and cut down on wait time for guests.  Your admission will be valid for any day you choose to use it. At the current time we are not accepting reservations. You can still purchase admissions at the admissions booths and redeem your Easter passes.

Casino Pier Ride Park Guest Information

  • At Casino Pier Ride Park, face coverings must be worn when entering the park, on the rides and walking around the Ride Pier. We will have sections on the Pier that you may be able to remove your face mask if you are able to be at least six feet away from others not in your group.
  • Scarves, Bandanas and Neck Gaiters not permitted. Our staff will offer a temporary face mask for you to wear.

Smuggler's Quay Guest Information

  • Face Masks are required to play when guests are playing near each other. Guests will be required to wear a face mask in the sales booth when entering and exiting.
  • Golf Clubs will be placed in a bin at the end of play to be disinfected, as well as all balls. Golf pencils will be discarded after use.

Go-Karts Guest Information

  • Face Masks are required while riding.
  • If a family or a group that arrived together are the only ones riding together, you are permitted to remove your mask. If the ride is mixed in with other riders, you will be required to wear your mask while riding.
  • Scarves, Bandanas and Neck Gaiters not permitted. Our staff will offer a temporary face mask for you to wear.

Casino Arcade Guest Information

  • In Casino Arcade & Indoor Restrooms: Face coverings are ALWAYS required.

What other safety measures are in place?

We continue to work closely with local health officials and reference CDC guidelines with respect to the safety of our Team Members and guests during this limited access to Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach.

  • Limiting capacity and following social distancing guidelines throughout all attractions, food stands and the arcade throughout the destination
  • Increasing our already-aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures, and frequently cleaning all high-touch surfaces
  • All team members will undergo temperature checks and wear face coverings
  • All team members will participate in extensive training on our new procedures

It is safe and practical to begin reopening amusement parks and waterparks. Operating and visiting these facilities during the reopening phases of COVID - 19 is a shared responsibility between the public and facility operators. Guidelines such as those listed above, but especially focused on: good communication of requirements, not visiting attractions nor coming to work if you feel ill, hand washing/hand sanitizing, wearing PPE in appropriate circumstances, and social distancing, must be followed by all participants.

These guidelines will be adjusted, relaxed, and/or eliminated based on current requirements, guidance from local health authorities and as permitted by local and state government
